A theme for shops that sell prints, posters and everyday goods made from public-domain paintings, built around shopping by painting.

Each painting is a collection with its own story. Collection pages open with the artwork, a museum label (artist, year, medium, museum) and a numbered "What to look for" list, all read from collection metafields. Product pages show the painting the piece comes from and a round crop of the exact detail printed on it, from product metafields. Anything a store has not filled in is simply left out.

The home page opens with a swirling sky: short brush strokes painted on a canvas in the colours of a chosen painting, turning gently around the pointer and drifting as the page scrolls. It pauses when off screen and shows one still frame when the visitor prefers reduced motion. Images paint in with a brush-edged reveal, and headings carry a painted stroke under their italic words. A "Look closer" section lets shoppers select numbered points on a painting to see that area magnified beside a short caption and a linked product.

International selling is built in. A country prompt in three styles (corner card, top bar or centred dialog), country and language pickers with flags and currencies in the header, footer and menu, and a full country page all use the platform's localization data and only appear when a store sells to more than one country or in more than one language. Every phone field uses a searchable country-code picker and sends one international number.

The product page is made of blocks you can reorder: price with tax note, quantity price tiers, options, quantity, Add to bag and Buy now, a gift card recipient form, back-in-stock requests, delivery notes, specifications and care from metafields, tabs, and app blocks. It has three layouts. Collection and search pages support every filter display type, sorting, paging and an optional search within the collection. After adding to the bag, a shop can open the drawer, show an added-to-bag card, show a short message or go to the cart page. The cart shows free-shipping progress, gift and discount offers, discount codes and an order note.

Starling includes two header layouts, three footer layouts, slideshow, image with text, feature columns, video, review highlights, a visit-us section, collection lists, featured products, comparison table, steps, FAQ, newsletter, banners and journal posts, with sign-in pages that follow the store's email and phone settings. It comes in three styles: Gallery, Nocturne and Orchard, in English, German, Spanish, French and Italian.
